Paper Towel Drawing

- Paper towel or coffee filters
- Markers
Directions
- Set your toddler in her highchair and give her a couple of markers and a piece of paper towel or coffee filter.
- The absorbency of the paper towel will make the colors blur as she makes marks on it.
Tissue Art Activity
Materials
- Glue
- Paper cup or small plastic container
- Water
- Paintbrush
- Paper
- Tissue paper cut into 1?2-by-16-inch strips
- Scissors
- Sequins, beads, glitter (optional)
Directions
- Pour a small amount of glue into a paper cup or small plastic container, and add about a quarter cup water to get the consistency of paint.
- Have your child use a paintbrush to paint the glue solution onto a piece of paper.
- Then, crumple up strips of brightly colored tissue paper and press them onto the paper.
- Use a variety of colors and add sequins, beads, and glitter for a real piece of art.
Paper Bag Faces
Materials
- Newspaper or old magazines for tearing
- Paper bag
- Rubber band
- Crayon, marker, or paint
Directions
- Tear up old newspapers or magazines.
- Crumple up the pieces and stuff them in a paper bag.
- When the bag is full, seal the end with a rubber band.
- Then draw or paint a big happy face on the paper bag.
